Open a Canadian Bank Account from Outside Canada

Many people operate businesses in Canada as non-residents. If you are operating a business in Canada, you will likely need a business bank account.

But because of the very strict rules in Canada regarding anti money laundering, the Canadian banks will not permit someone who is not physically present to open a bank account. The only way to do this is to hire a lawyer in Canada to help open the bank account for you.

In order to open a bank account in Canada without being present in Canada, you must have an incorporated company in Canada.
