Legal Documents for Startups

This is a short video describing the package of legal documents we are providing for startups. The documents include:

  • Non-Disclosure Agreement
  • Employment Agreement (Offer Letter)
  • Unanimous Shareholders’ Agreement
  • Subscription Agreement to sell shares
  • Confidentiality and IP Assignment Agreement (for founders and employees)
  • Articles of Incorporation for a Company in BC

To get your copy of ATAC LAW’s Startup Package, contact The Engineering Lawyer, Mike C. Stewart, P.Eng.

Note that these documents are in a form where you need to edit the information yourself. For example, the Shareholders Agreement and Non-Disclosure Agreement require you to enter in the names and addresses into the [SQUARE BRACKETS] of the parties to the agreement wherever those [SQUARE BRACKETS] appear.

You may want to customize each of the documents for your particular startup as well. Feel free to do this. You can edit the documents in Microsoft Word.

I am just providing the documents to you – if you want any advice on how to customize them for your particular startup, you should hire a lawyer.

Thanks and best of luck in your startup!
