ATAC LAW successfully represented a self-employed person in a slip and fall personal injury case. The client claimed for lost wages, lost earning capacity and compensation for injuries and medical care costs. The case involved a slip and fall that occurred on a commercial property, and we sued the owner of the property under the laws of occupier’s liability. The defendant and its insurance company denied any liability and offered nothing to the client. We obtained several expert opinions, including an engineering opinion which helped prove the cause of the client’s slip and fall. After presenting our case at mediation, ATAC LAW secured a settlement of $525,000.00 for the client.
