Siqi Wang

Siqi Wang is an associate lawyer at ATAC LAW whose practice is given to disputes in which the sum at issue, the asset, or the relationship between the parties admits of no approximate result. He appears in commercial and contractual disputes, construction and renovation claims, estate litigation, and contested family law matters, acting for individuals, privately held businesses, owners, and participants in the construction and renovation trades.

In commercial matters he brings and resists claims founded on breached agreements, unpaid accounts, loans, and the disagreements that arise between shareholders and business partners. Construction and renovation work forms a substantial part of the practice, extending to deficiency and payment claims, disputes over scope, change orders, and delay, and claims under the Builders Lien Act. Much of this work turns on the written record, and Siqi reads the contract, the correspondence, and the project documents closely before settling on the theory he intends to advance.

His estate litigation practice concerns the validity of wills, claims for variation, the conduct of executors and trustees, and the questions of capacity and undue influence that attend a contested estate. In family matters he addresses the division of property, support, and the arrangements for children that follow a separation.

Siqi practises in English and in Mandarin and he has appeared before the Provincial Court of British Columbia and the Supreme Court of British Columbia, with favourable results in each.

Outside the practice, Siqi travels, spends time with his family, and continues to seek out the less frequented parts of British Columbia.
