An Owner hired an electrical subcontractor to perform electrical work for a fixed price on a 150-unit development in Vancouver. The electrical subcontractor failed to perform the services that it promised within the time required under the contract, despite having been paid by the Owner. The Owner sued the electrical subcontractor. ATAC LAW was engaged by the Owner to resolve the construction dispute.
ATAC LAW prepared an analysis of the work that was performed by performing a site review and quantity survey of the value of the work that was put in place by the electrical subcontractor. ATAC LAW then used this information to settle the matter with the contractor. The contractor agreed to pay back to the Owner approximately one third of the contract revenue that the electrical contractor received.
