James Cain is an associate lawyer who practices in both litigation and solicitor based work. On the litigation side, James specializes in civil litigation, commercial litigation, collections related matters, professional liability and business-related disputes. On the solicitor side, James deals predominantly in the business realm, dealing with everything from independent contractor agreements, incorporation, and business acquisitions.
With a strong practical background, and a diverse range of expertise, James delivers legal solutions that fit client needs.
James holds a Juris Doctor from the Thompson Rivers University School of Law. After law school, James articled with a full-service downtown law firm, where he gained valuable experience in providing value to corporate clients. Prior to the legal profession, James was a financial professional, working in various capacities for financial institutions.
Since completing articles, James has continued to develop his practice with a local boutique law firm, where he has represented clients in a variety of capacities, including at the Supreme Court level in BC. With a strong advocacy skillset, and a big picture focus, James has developed a track record of providing successful resolutions to client issues, regardless of the avenue of dispute.
Outside of the law, James enjoys sports, including cheering on the Canucks, as well as staying active with his two English Springer Spaniels pups.
